Audiovisual resources
The library collection is just one key aspect of the Open Learning Centres. Each campus also offers a wide range of audiovisual equipment and spaces. Students and staff can freely use laptops, cameras, microphones, as well as podcasting and recording studios.

Rent audivisual materials via Cheqroom
Forgot your laptop, need a camera for an assignment or need an iPad? Rent your audiovisual material (AVM) easily via Cheqroom! After booking, pick up your equipment at the desk in the Learning Centre. In Ghent, you will find the AVM desk in building A, near the reception.
You can borrow up to 5 items at a time. The maximum loan period is 14 days. Do you need a laptop for a longer period? There several rental and purchase alternatives.
This is how you can install the Cheqroom app
- Search for Cheqroom in the App Store (Apple) or Play Store (Android)
- Or go to the desktop version from the student portal
- Install Cheqroom
- Enter your Odisee email address and choose Log in with SSO
- You will be automatically directed to the Odisee environment to confirm your details
- Now choose your campus and reserve your materials!
Important: always use Log in with SSO!
Experiment in the podcasting and recording studios
Co-creation is at the heart of the Learning Centers! On (almost) every campus you can experiment in the podcasting and recording studios. Usage is completely free, and a staff member is always available to provide guidance.
Podcast studio
You don't need to commit to a full podcast series. Many students enjoy using the podcasting studio to record short audio clips, for example. Why not give it a try and discover what you can create?
Recording studio with green screen and RapidMooc
The recording studio, equipped with a green screen and RapidMooc, is perfect for recording presentations. Thanks to the pre-programmed settings and templates, you can get started right away!
Reserve via TimeEdit
Would you like to reserve a studio? You can do so via TimeEdit! We are continuously expanding our range of studios, so your campus might not have a podcast or video studio yet. But don't worry! You are always welcome to use the facilities on other campuses.
Practice group work and presentations with the interactive whiteboard
Practicing your undergraduate thesis, group work, or presentation is a breeze with interactive whiteboards. Cast your presentation to the screen while you explain! Need to make changes on the fly? You can do that directly on the interactive whiteboard.
Campus Brussels has several interactive whiteboards in the collaborative learning spaces. Campus Aalst has 2 in the collaborative work spaces. Of course, as a student from another campus, you can also visit Brussels and Aalst.
